Celebrate Vietnamese New Year at Saba
We are very excited to celebrate Vietnamese New Year at Saba. Tet Nguyen Dan, otherwise known as Tet, is the most important holiday in Vietnam. Like Chinese New Year, it follows the lunar calendar and celebrates the beginning of the new year. In 2022, Tet will take place on February 1st, marking the year of the Tiger.
Those born in the year of the tiger are said to be captivating, rebellious, and impatient. Horses, dogs, and dragons are the most compatible Chinese zodiac signs for those born in the year of the tiger. Some famous people born into the year of the tiger include Tom Cruise, Oscar Wilde and Stevie Wonder.
Dishes include:
Vietnamese Spring Roll – With minced pork, woodear mushroom, glass noodles, carrot and cabbage accompanied with iceberg and mint leaves
Crispy Pork Belly** – Served with bok choy and Vietnamese fried rice in a nam dang sauce
Our Vietnamese New Year Menu is available from February 2nd – 6th in Saba Upper Baggot Street and South William Street. This menu will run from February 2nd – 13th in Kildare Village.
